Key characteristics separate great organizations from the rest. One of the characteristics is a culture that recognizes the importance of helping and supporting faculty and staff to learn and grow, in their specific areas of expertise as well as in a broad range of other areas. A strategic professional development effort is one component helping to ensure that the University offers a variety of growth opportunities for faculty and staff at every level. We offer a comprehensive catalog of courses and programs from which individuals can select that are of interest to them.

Creating a shared philosophy about leadership, shared vision, values, goals, rewards and recognition while providing the knowledge and tools for growth and improvement will ensure that individuals are well prepared for the changes ahead – and help make UB a great place to work.
